Maybe its the way he's been bought up? I would throw something into the equation and say, wow, i wonder how much it cost 10 years ago or something. maybe he is trying to make conversation, if not, you could turn it into a conversation point??

My sister does that too, funnily enough, she is married into a family that has dosh and she tells us the price of everything almost as if to kind of show off in a way??? Don't know hons, money is the root of all evil (so is chocolate if not in ready supply). It's damned annoying and i tend to ignore it or just say wow really hey?
