I didn't know the Trix rabbit until I had kids of my own, but... you and I share some basic things in regards to our childhood. My "illness" was to have a very old mother, grandmother and no father around. They claimed to love me so much that they wanted to keep me under glass on the mantel piece.

I was too heavy for the mantel, but I was sure kept inside, sometimes in the basement.
