It's actually not a light-hearted question - it's a very serious thing that could affect your therapist's career and your own mental health.
My guess is that you actually know very little about him. What you do know is what he lets you see in the context of therapy, which is, by definition, completely different than rest of his life. He shows what you need him to be, not what he truly is.
Tell your T about your feelings. It'll tell him a lot about what your needs are and it will help him understand you so much better.
