Rainbowwz, Dumb ignorant girls gave me a hard time because I had to wear white socks with clunky shoes because I grew too fast for my feet to hold me up when I was 13. It really hurt my feelings even though I knew they were stupid.

I didn't fit in at my school either. But that was a long time ago.
We only had two kinds of schools: public and Catholic. What I needed was neither of those. Nowadays with charter schools and other choices, maybe you could fine a better fit for your style of learning.

I think it's awesome that you are good at working with challenged kids. Sounds like you are "Big Sister" material. You could join a group with other kindhearted people like yourself.
