I've always hidden my feelings, and with the work I've been doing in therapy, yes, sometimes I do feel like I'm overwhelmed with emotions.

Usually, when I feel overwhelmed, I write. I either write draft emails to my T (which sometimes get sent) or I write in my journal. Sometimes, I will practice mindfulness exercises. Sometimes, I try to just sit with the emotions, and let myself feel and remind myself that they are just feelings, and they will pass. When I really feel like I can't cope, then I call T.

It's very, very hard to learn to accept these feelings, and accept that I'm allowed to feel them, and that I don't have to get pulled under by them. I'm learning, my T is helping, but it's still a struggle sometimes.
