My dear grandson, who is 19 1/2 graduated from high school yesterday. He was held back in 1st grade, so that is why the age. He has been such a good child all of his life til about a year ago. Things went really crazy with him about Christmas time, and his Mom and Dad had to tell him to leave home. He was bringing girls to his bedroom, not coming home when he should, sometimes not at all, the mess in his room was a foot deep with dirty clothes, etc. We don't know what all happened, but he had been fired from three different jobs, wrecked four cars in the last year and 1/2. Then, when he was asked to leave, he moved in with a step brother who has been in prison twice. That only lasted about four weeks and the stepbrother took advantage of him. He left there, and moved about two hours away from where he grew up with a pregnant teenage girl. Had been dating another girl, broke off with her and took off with this girl. I just hope that he gets his mind together soon. He does have an apartment and a job running a tow motor, so he will be o.k. physically. It is the mental that I worry about and the carelessness with sex . These kids don't seem to get it with all the STDs. I am really worried about him. We offered for him to come and live with us after graduation, but no such luck! Maybe it would not have been good with all this going on. We told him there would be rules, so he didn't want to deal with that. I would call it more like respect for others in the household. Anyway, that is my story.
