Turned on the AC today. Why can't it ever be easy; really, it's such a simple machine! (Ok, I think it is.) It was something that's never happened before. I opened up the unit and the bottom was completely covered in crystals! I don't mean the lime buildup that looks like salt stuck to everthing, I mean full blown, inch long, feathery calcite crystals. WTF The water was drained when it was turned off and the line wasn't leaking, sooo..... Trashed the pump that was in there!
