How long have you been in therapy? If it hasn't been very long, please give it time. If it's been awhile, it's not doing you much good, and you may want to consider finding another therapist! Sometimes the therapist we're seeing isn't the right one! I've had to switch therapist before -- the one I was seeing didn't give me ANY feedback, or guidance! All he did was say "uh-huh." That did me NO good at all. LOL
Also, after I'd been in therapy for quite some time, my therapist sent me to my doctor because he thought that I needed help besides just therapy -- such as medication. So my doctor put me on an antidepressant, and I've been on one every since. That made a world of difference for me. I never knew what "normal" felt like until then, because I'd been depressed since I was a child. Now it's the difference between night & day! WOW.
