It sounds like you could have type 2 diabetes. (Not type 1 - in order to have that you would have to have been diabetic since birth.) Lots of things can cause frequent urination and dry, itchy skin, including reactions to some anti-depressants.

I suggest you check the side-effects of your new anti-depressant. Sometimes these side-effects will clear up on their own. Being tested for diabetes is quick and easy, and you should be tested to address your health fears.

Type 2 diabetes, if caught early, can be treated with medications that don't require injections. For those with more advanced cases, there are new devices that make testing and injection much, much easier. Most of the changes to treat type 2 diabetes are in the form of diet and exercise and weight loss. I have been pre-diabetic my entire life and still do not have diabetes and I am 54 years old.
