No, it doesn''t mean you "aren't meant to be."  It takes a LOT of time to get to know a person. You don't fall in love immediately. It's a slow, slow process. If you DID fall in love immediately, it wouldn't last. That's not the kind of "love" that lasts a long time. That's just lust. Real love is a learning process -- it comes from knowing each others good & bad sides; knowing each others likes & dislikes; it comes from sharing each other secrets, plus loads of other things. And if you get thru all that and STILL care for each other then you probably love each other.
