When you put in a claim, it first of all goes to a "Disability Determination Services" agency and lands in the hand of an agent there. The DDS agency is a STATE agency funded by the federal government. As a STATE agency, it is a child of state politics. Just to give you an example, TEXAS is the hardest state to get approved in.
