I have been on risperidone for over 3 and a half years and have had very few side effects. I gained weight on it, but I wanted to gain weight, so I didn't mind. It initially took a month to start working for me when I was taking it...so 9 days probably hasn't been long enough.

Lactation is pretty common on Risperdal, though I've never experienced it.
