Maybe this isn't a bad idea, you've been having such a hard time. I can't say because I wasn't in the room. But it sounds like she is trying to find a better way to help you, because maybe so far hasn't been helping enough? You said this helped your friend greatly? If that's the case, maybe it is a good idea.

What made you so angry about this suggestion? Do you know what it is? I know most of us wouldn't be to happy to hear it, on the other hand tho, for a lot of us when we really need help, we get less care than we actually need. And that doesn't always turn out so good.

If this option could help you get back to being you, back to you life, then 6 weeks isn't all that long, even if it seems daunting right now. I'm worried that if you don't get proper care the issues you are facing could drag on much much longer.
