From what you have written, I would guess your T told you a therapist cannot help because you are not looking for treatment, you are not looking for change, you do not want advice on what to do differently in your life, so what are you really going to a therapist for? Going to a therapist isnt a bad thing, but they are trained to help, so find it frustrating not to be able to do that. What you are looking for is just somebody to talk to, get all your thoughts out, so why not find a friend or support group where you can do this?
