A wonderful supervisor of mine once said: "when I am not in the office, I am not playing therapist. I tell my friends and family that I am coin-operated, and am not running when I am away rom the office. This helps them to know that I am not analyzing them, and that I am just being me....a human being, just like them".

I really like that saying, as I feel the same way. I truly am able to separate my personal and professional lives, and the two do not overlap. I am not here to analyze anyone, or treat anyone like a "lab rat", as someone stated. I am simply here to be of support, and to also have support for myself.
