I can't tell if you are serious but what you say has some truth. It may not be the Big Brother of literature but that will come later. Right now they just want to sell you things. But then consumerism is an element of Big Brother as are sports, tv of a sort, nationalism, and of course...perpetual war. Very few characters in 1984 actually knew they were part of a dystopian society

Very few people realize we live in what is very close to an Oligarchic society.
