I'm sorry this is happening. But this frequently does happen when one goes to college. They start meeting new people, and experiencing new things. Long-distance relationships start taking a beating and not much time is spent on them anymore. 
I know you want to save it, but it might be better if you just started having some fun of your own.  Don't tie yourself down -- obviously he seems to be having a good time, so don't sit and wait while he's enjoying himself. Get out among friends and enjoy yourself! If it's meant to be, it will be.
