I couldn't have gotten sober without the help of other recovering alcoholics in AA. There was a great deal of terrific advice and support from people who had been in my situation and walked through it. The biggest help: just don't drink TODAY. I was amazed when someone told me: "you don't have to drink". It never even occurred to me before!
