If you cannot afford to take a medical leave, can you afford a major lawsuit should something 'unfortunate' happen while you are on your way to, or at work? Can you afford to lose your job? Can you afford to spend time in prison?

You are being responsible by reaching out and admitting you are struggling, concerned and are not well. You are being responsible for acknowledging what is going on.

(*your boss is not your parent or your friend. As you are responsible to your boss. Your boss is resposible to protect the company. Risk Management is a major part of any company. You have a legitimate illness that you feel may pose a risk to others. Medical attention would be the best course of action, in my opinion.)
