Hi ~ This is definitely HIS problem, not yours. He has separation anxiety for some reason -- probably from his childhood. He needs to delve into this with his therapist.

All you can do is keep reassuring him that you love him, BUT you have to have your space too -- and you have a daughter that needs your love & time too. You cannot ALWAYS be by his side holding his hand! He has to learn to be by himself SOME of the time -- otherwise he won't make it in this world.

Let him know that those times in the evening are the ONLY times you get to have by yourself -- and you NEED those times. Everyone needs time to be alone. But keep reassuring him --- sounds like he needs alot of that. I don't know what else to tell you. HE needs to work on this. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee
