hi inkblot

it is hard to think about change when you are scared and because our illness colors the way we see things it makes it very hard to make decisions on things because our judgment may be cloudy.

Do you have any say in this decision? Is "the person making the decision" doing making a decision for your well being, or are they doing something for themselves that impacts you?

Have you talked to your T about it? I can't imagine it would be a bad idea in any case to have them talk to your T just to give them more information on which to base this decision. Of course there could be a lot of factors I haven't considered that may make you reluctant, but I say trust your judgement on that.

Of course I have to also refer to the old cliche "don't anticipate" which is also of course so hard to do, but try to keep it in mind. If you are already "adjusting" yourself mentally expecting the worst then that adds to the anxiety for no productive reason and probably also makes it harder for you to see things clearly. Maybe writing a list of pros and cons about this would help so that you don't end up with your mind racing on just all the possibly negative things?

I don't know. Just keep posting here, I'm sure you can find comfort expressing your feelings and worries here without having to devulge anything private... and we can always give you support for that.
