My T was reading Anna Karenina last year. I wasn't up to that challenge, but I went to a used bookstore and found a nice collection of short stories by Tolstoy. I read in the nytimes recently that one of the stories I read was recently made into a play, the something (Kretzmer?) Sonata. Anyway I enjoyed it all very much and found it very current, surprisingly enough.
