I would definitely talk to your medical Dr about your weight concerns. High metabolism can cause weight loss to continue. For me stress is a cause.....when I am under extreme stress, it increases my metabolic rate & my weight comes off even more on top of the fact that stress usually makes me feel sick & it's difficult for me to eat when I'm feeling sick.
Thyroid issues can also cause weight loss/gain (depending on the thyroid problem...overactive vs underactive). Some of this issues might be cause by long term anorexia, but long term anorexia usually is more dealing with anemia & your electrolytes which are related more to heart issues.
It's definitely an issue to be taken up with a medical Dr because they can do the blood work that can help them detect if there is actually something physically wrong that is causing the weight loss.
When my medical Dr had me in the hospital & treating me physically for anorexia, he put me through every test possible to try to figure out if there was some physical reason I wasn't able to eat (why I was constantly feeling sick), Found absolutely nothing physically wrong....so they knew it was psychological....but they wouldn't listen to the fact that stress was what was causing the psychological issues & the trauma I had gone through.
