Do your parents own the house or do they rent? If they're going to hire an exterminator, make sure you get a few estimates and a guarantee. You'll also have to throw out all the mattresses and wash all bedding in hot water. Don't get new ones until you're sure they're gone. Basically take all clothing from each room and wash, then put in plastic sealed bags until the bugs are gone. I hope this gets resolved soon.
