Is it possible that she thinks you rely on her too much? Maybe she wants to make sure that you can "make it" on your own without her being around all the time. Just a thought. OR .........
I can understand how you would get tired of her disappearing all the time, but you must remember that your past with her was pretty volatile. Maybe she's afraid the same things might happen again.
Sounds like you two might need to have a sit-down conversation and talk things out if you can get her to stick around long enough. LOL Then you can decide if the two of you can really be "best friends" anymore.
