Well, triciadrich - in addition to showering, etc., you did manage to move to the computer and post - so give yourself a pat on the back for that!

Seriously, though - days that I feel that unmotivated, I just take it as my body and/or psyche trying to tell me what they really need at that moment - sometimes they just need for me to be still and quiet - to just unplug and be in the moment - to stop demanding that they function at some level that I and/or others think they "should" even though they simply are not capable of doing so.

Try not to be annoyed with yourself right now - that will only pump stress hormones into your system which will suppress production of the good neurotransmitters your brain needs for you to have good thoughts and feelings about anything. Make yourself a cup of tea; pile up and sink into the soft blankies and pillows like a big, warm hug; read, watch movies, listen to music, etc., to stimulate production of the "feel-good" neuro-ts (I call this "cocooning"), and give your body/psyche the break it needs. The world is not going to come to a screeching halt just because you need to practice some good self-care from time to time.

Hope you're feeling better soon. lynn09

Thanks for this!
