Oh yeah KittyClaws and I forgot you're across the pond. That's a bigger trip than I first thought. It's our continents heart really I suppose in many respects. I'm a big fan of NYC. It's size influence and history just boggles me. Never been! Made phone calls once to check on travel routes and accomodations etc but caved on the idea. There's a site I regularly visit. It's called forgotten-ny.com. A great site to wander thru for fans of the place. It isn't a touristy site. Eventually it'll be recognized as a historical document. An extremely involved history lesson in photos and text. He discovers and documents traces and stories of disappearing history all over the area. Enough work yet to keep him at it for years.

Anyway I meant to suggest this before I got sidetracked with my history hobby. Perhaps you'll know where she'll be [like staying or the big venues/places she might visit for example] and pull it up on Google Earths Streetview for fun. Sort of a pseudo-shared experience! If it's her 1st time there I envy her. Especially if she's hasn't been to North America yet. The culture 'shock' should be fantastically amazing. Some day I've got to get down there. A train i think is 8 hours but that's the simplest part. I'd ideally want at least a month to comb that place over to my liking and let it all sink in. I heart NY!!! Bye kittyC!
