Really sorry for you. These days Nice employees do not have nice bosses and nice bosses do not get nice employees too. The best method to deal a person who is very abrupt and indifferent is hand it straight forward. Never be rude or snide. Always plan your time and efforts on paper (planner) so they may see. Most of all when they step over the line, politely show them where that line was. When they learn that they can not push your buttons, they won't.
