has always sent e.mails to them that were either on the fringe, sexually, or extremely contrary to their political beliefs.
yesterday he definitely went over the edge. you all know that Josh is in Iraq. her dad sent C a horrific e.main about a woman who lost her son in Iraq. it was heart-wrenching and he, and the originator, thought the e.mail was hilarious. the e.mail was vicious, cruel and so out there, that i could hardly read it.
she wrote a very eloquent reply to it and not only did she send it back to him, she sent it to everyone on HIS e.mail list!! i am very proud of her for holding true to her feelings and beliefs.
so..............today, after thinking long and hard about it, i did something very fierce. the man who originated the e.mail was dumb enough to sign his name, his title at his job, the college that he works for and his phone number. i followed through with what my first thoughts had been. i turned him in.
i called the president of Boston College and he asked me to forward the e.mail and to also forward it to the man's direct supervisor. i did that. i sat here for awhile and picked up the phone and called a very high ranking senator, from Boston, and told him about the e.mail. he had me forward it and then he called me back as soon as he had read it. he was outraged, rightly so.
i wasn't through with it though. i then called every person who this man maligned in the e.mail (all public figures) and they all asked me to forward the e.mail.
one of the things that bothers me so much about this, is that my daughter's FATHER fwded this to her. she has begged him to not send her e.mails and has tried to block his address. for some reason, she hasn't been able to block them........and her curiousity got the best of her on this one and she opened it.
i am not going to say anything to him. i never, ever communicate with him. but, i need some help dealing with my anger towards him and the hurt that this has caused my daughter.
help............p p.s. in all of my days of being me, i would have never dreamed that it is so easy to talk to public figures......i did not get one turn down from one assistant/secretary/intern.....not one..........
