Very cool! Almost made it to Detroit once. An impromptu road trip one Saturday brought myself and a pal to Port Huron. We debated but didn't proceed. He was a bit apprehensive whilst me? There are times when I'd go to the poles with a sandwich and coffee if the road existed. Oh wait...i did take a friend down at 3 in the morning to the airport. She was going to Colorado i think with no flight out of TO. That's miles from the core though I guess. Detroit! Another iconic city for the ages!

I'm involved with the local mental health assoc. here in my town as a client. Means I see a counsellor every week or two to basically chat over any concerns etc. I suggested [upon learning they have a small group budget] that we perhaps see who might be interested in a group visit to the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. They're going to look into it and I'll be there grinning like a cat. How many years have I been in the area and not taken that in?! Shame! heh
