It was the opposite for me. High school I had no freedom and I could not choose anything I wanted; now all the choice is mine, and am doing much better. Even with some of the core classes that I was not as interested in, because I knew the ones I was interested in were coming soon.
I'm with Perna. Can't you pursue something you do enjoy and are interested in doing?
