Maybe, if we still took those wonderful, long, transcontinental train journeys where for hours or even days we permitted ourselves to simply watch as this glorious world rolled by, allowing ourselves the grace of simply being wouldn't seem so strange.

Technology has given us a sense of life moving faster. I think we're just watching it faster. If you watch slower, I don't think anything horrible will happen.
