Just some facts on the Moon's distance for this month.

According to EarthSky, the Moon’s nearest approach or perigee will occur at 11:29 pm EST tonight and will be 356 955 km or 221 802 miles away. Full moon is at 11:35 pm EST, six minutes after perigee.

Last year’s closest approach was on March 19 at 356 575 km.

On May 19, the Moon will be at its furthest point or apogee at 406 448 km or 252 555 miles.
