I'm not a dream specialist or anything, but it sounds like it could be because of what happened to your husband.

But I also wonder if something else is going on in your life, something that will affect your whole family negatively that you feel powerless to control? Maybe something about yourself, like you have Depression or Bi-polar or something. I dunno, just a thought.
