I am not a doctor of any kind, but I would imagine that not being able to hear would definitely be something that could contribute to dissociation. After all you do not have the distraction of noises to pull you back from your thoughts, allowing you to get lost in them.
one thing i am curious about is whether you can hear your internal voices or not
