i've recently gotten into and have fallen in love with brazilian jiu jitsu (bjj). the rush/high i get from training is amazing and i'm addicted, so i go a minimum of 4 days a week. simply put, it's my new drug.
last week during a "techniques" class i was partnered up with a "new" guy during on of the rotations in our rolling session. i've been warned and have heard/read horror stories about "new-er" students who muscle up and spaz out, but i guess i wasn't careful enough..(?) most of my partners have at least a min. of 50 lbs on me, but i always manage. my partner (at the time) wanted to put me in a certain sub/lock that we had learned recently, but since the placements were off (my arm), i didn't realize that i was being put in a hold.
also during rolling sessions, we slowly apply pressure instead of going full force, but before i knew it, my arm was cranked/yanked and i heard a disturbing "crack/pop" noise from my chest/shoulder area.
i was told that i have strained and/or possibly tore my chest muscle and even doing normal everyday routines are painful. which means training is out of the question for the meantime and i can't even go to the gym without any pain. i'm sitting here frustrated/bitter because exercise is my biggest positive outlet and i don't know what to do...

does anyone have any suggestions for me to temporarily replace exercising with another positive outlet?
