Seriously though, you should think about getting some more RAM. Also check if there are programs running in the background slowing everything down.
I have a macbook and it's been perfect up until a few months ago. When it starts lagging I just check the activity monitor and it tells me what the problem is. Except when I can't identify one Oh and I'm also having major issues with the battery not charging lately. Now at that I do curse
