I think your id would have to agree to disagree... Whether the harm is physical or psychological, I'd say humankind does more harm than good to one another. It doesn't matter whether people actively recognize their intentions or not, but they are perfectly clear.

And don't misunderstand. I think your point of view is valid & perhaps you don't actively recognize or seek out this part of your subconscious. Perhaps it's felt no need to be wasted on anyone for whatever reason... I personally haven't engaged in active, non-sexual violence since I was in elementary school. But I think a lot of people forget to realize that, no matter how advanced we are, we are still all predatory creatures. We have just been weakened by the enforced inhibition called "moral code".
