I'm sorry to hear that your family member wasn't a good candidate for the surgery. Hopefully, they didn't have to go through the intracraneal testing to find that out. THAT would suck, imo! Did he/she have a vagus nerve stimulator implanted, to help prevent sz's from generalizing?

I'm in the 33%ile in which no serious pain medications work. A whole third of people who have this painful brain surgery get no pain relief whatsoever, and it lasts for 3 months! That was really rough for me. It was, by far, the most physically painful thing I have ever experienced. So, I would not want to do another brain surgery if I don't have to. No thank you! LOL!!

I'm trying to hope that they'll just play with my meds, while I'm hooked up & safe in a hospital.
