Has your T ever said anything like that to you? What would you think of it?

My prev t/pdoc used to tell me I had a very active imagination, and I would ask, "Is that a professional opinion, a dx, or are you 'just sayin'?!" He never said. Current T tells me all the time, but partly? it's because I NEED the acknowledgement - my FOO completely discounts my intellectual abilities and just sees me as crazy. My mother thinks I just "make stuff up" and my brother says I never worked a day in my life - I was a computer programmer for 30 years, I was in the top 1% of my high school graduating class of 700. So no, you're not a lab rat - but your brain IS a big part of what you bring to therapy. I suck it up, I need more, my brain has no backbone. or heart, or something.
