Hi, JDA. So, what feelings are you holding in that are causing your depression? Why don't you want to tell your parents? (Are they the problem? I know you'd have to tell them twice since they are divorced. Is the real problem telling your mom?)
Keeping this secret is hurting you. You need to clear the air no matter how painful. I know it will be emotionally difficult to reveal. But, not revealing it is hurting you too.
Here's an option: tell your parents you are due for an annual physical and go see your MD. Tell your MD that you are depressed. MD's can prescribe anti-depressants. Also, you can speak to them and you can ask them to speak to your parents on your behalf, even if it's just to say that you are feeling depressed without revealing the underlying issue. An MD can also give you a referral to a therapist. Think about it.
