before I was integrated I held down many jobs... my alters were the kind that were "categorical" (some places call this "compartmentalized" "separated" and the Diagnostic book treatment providers use call it "distinct"), which means my alters had their own jobs / purpose for being here. they were here to handle things I could not. the result of all this was that when I was working if I had a problem the alters would take control and do what ever I could not do. My alters also had their own jobs that they worked at. they would manage this by only those who's job they were doing at the moment would be in control of the body.. example when I was at a store doing cashier work only the alter that obtained and worked at that cashier job was in control. when I was working Realtor only the alter that obtained and did that job was in control of the body..I and my alters had many different jobs depending upon what my alters jobs/ purposes were.
