Work is kind of stabilizing thing for me. If it goes on for too many hours in a day or for too much intensity without a break it can work the opposite. Perhaps that is no different for everyone but it is definitely something I have had to consider.

The parts that work have always been very good at what they do, no matter what but it has been important to be in counseling when needed. We are interconnected for the most part, however the counselor brings insight that the system has at times not had.

Giving appropriate rewards to the various parts has been essential. The ones who work are adults and professional and they are permitted to be out in order to be the best they can be.

The down time has been so important though with calmness and interests that rebuild.

Not sure if this is helpful or just more rules for you but hope you feel encouraged by the responses.
