Oooooh, I'm so sorry. That must be terribly difficult, especially for someone who suffers from this #$@&! disorder. I would HATE to have to do this part of your job---it's got to be almost as bad as telemarketing (a job at which I lasted exactly four hours).

Is there some way you can compromise with the MD, like you'll call the patient three times over a 60- or 90-day period, and then put them on the inactive list if they don't call back? It seems ridiculous that you have to chase them like this.......they probably get really annoyed with the calls, and they dig in their heels because they feel like they're being harassed, or pushed. (I know I would, just because I'm stubborn like that.) Besides, if they want help, they know where to find it, right?
