Greetings.......nightmares and vivid dreams are one of the side effects of Prosac. I had such terrible nightmares, nothing like I had ever experienced. My doctor told me to try taking it at different times of day. It helped, but not much. I had to switch to another ssri. I hear the new Celexa is good. I tried Zoloft also and Paxil and did not have the nightmares anymore, but they upset my stomach and had other side effects. I couldn't drive on Paxil. I would run redlights. Good luck I hope you find something to help you. If you have depression or anxiety, I would also recommend a long walk or make sure you are getting enough exercise daily. Its help me to break a sweat everyday. Dancing is good too. Also put yourself in a situatioin which makes you laugh daily. Watching a comedy or visiting or taling to a friend who makes you laugh is good also. I have a friend who every time I visit makes me laugh. I try to stop by and see her everyday. Good luck. I hope you feel better.
