I know some people you'd consider "good catches" (attractive, rich) who use the internet, so I personally, don't see any harm. Having said that, being 17 don't you have a nice selection of people at school, etc. to choose from? When I was 17 I went purly by inpulse and so was married, divorced, etc. very young...can't say I reccomend it. 17 is a good time to think about yourself and have a good time.
