I am the poster child for unsuccessful quits! I started when I was 19 and I'm now 48. I've been trying to quit since I started. Not sure I can even remember everything I've tried: cold turkey, classes, e-cigs, gum, patch, cognitive behavior therapy, wellbutrin, chantix, nicvax, handheld computer, non-nicotine cigs, ugh. The longest I've ever quit is 36 days, and that was with the Chantix. I threw up every day on that med, and eventually just couldn't take it anymore. Like others, my doctor won't let me try it again because of the side effects. The patch works great, but I'm allergic to it.

My biggest problem is anxiety. When I quit, I have panic attacks. This happens every time, even if I take Klonopin. I'd love to quit. I obsess over getting cancer. But I just don't know how.
