These government funded programs are founded to not only help find adequate affordable housing but can aide in finding part-time employment, help you find assistance from within your community as well as a number of other things.

I searched for a "Disability Advocate" on Google and found an organization called Adlib who assist people in my community. They have been a lot of help for both me and my son.
