I can really relate to the kids being overwhelming. I have four of my own and I babysit for eight others. The housework just gets pushed aside, especially when I am depressed. The best thing for me is make a list of everything that needs to be done in the house. Then break those tasks into even smaller pieces. Like if the kitchen needs to be done, break it into dishes, counter, floor, etc. Then hit it one thing at a time, maybe 5 min at a time, as soon as something is done, cross it off with a fat bright colored marker. Then you can say you may of had a bad day but at least you crossed one thing off the list, or however many you get through. I don't know if it will help you but I know it helps me.
