I hope you are able to sell your house since you already found something you like where you really want to live.
Moving is such a stressful thing.....I wouldn't have problems this time because I have no furniture....didn't bring much of anything when I moved from Calif & haven't had money to buy anything either & no desire to furnish because I really want SMALLER......Love the 10 acres & the woods, but it's not as practical as I thought it would be for horses.
Hoping for your success....just takes the right buyer being interested.....but know not wanting to take that much less for the house....prices went so low here, can't get anywhere close to what I paid for this place...not willing to loose that much either....understand your situation on that also

Eskie, today, I really thought I'd be "swamped" with calls for my house. NOT! I've had no calls. I too am faced with the problem of having invested so many improvements $$$, while other houses in the neighborhood are listed for $1,000's less. Oh, well, where I am is fine, and manageable, while moving to the house I found near my school would mean a higher mortgage payment. Maybe "the Man upstairs" is looking out for me. Having tidied everything up, I look around and think "this is nice!"
I guess, if I want to get serious, I should contact a realtor, but my experiences with realtors (buying and selling 4 houses in the past), has left a rather bad taste in my mouth!
But, hey, what would be great, would be for me to find a teaching job in your locale, and we two find something we could both afford together! I'll look on the KY teaching jobs, just for curiosity!
